More and more small businesses turning to the cloud

Many things can lead to changes in how a small business operates. One are technological developments. Our society certainly hasn’t had a shortage of such developments in recent years. Among the new technologies businesses are increasingly incorporating into their operations is cloud computing.

A recent survey underscores how much small business use of the cloud is growing. In the survey, 2,000 small business owners were polled about various aspects of their business. These business owners came from four different countries, one of which was the United States.

Based on the responses given, the survey concluded that nearly two-thirds of small businesses (64 percent) use the cloud in their business operations. In comparison, it is estimated that using the cloud was something only around 37 percent of small companies did last year.

So, it appears that recent times have seen surges in how big of a role the cloud is playing for small businesses. What do you see as the biggest draws of the cloud for small business owners?

Using new technologies or making other changes to how their business operates can have many impacts on a small business owner. For one, it can affect what kinds of legal matters come up in relation to the business. For example, using the cloud can raise its own particular types of legal issues for a business owner, such as legal issues regarding data protection and matters related to the contracts they have with the cloud services company they use. When a Texas business owner is worried that a legal issue regarding the cloud or other new technology might flare up into a full-blown legal dispute, they should consider promptly consulting a skilled business law attorney.
